Financial advice to Antofagasta Minerals S.A. in the acquisition of 40% of the company Alto Maipo SpA, through which AES Gener develops the Alto Maipo Hydroelectric Project (531 MW). The transaction involved a payment of US$50 million plus additional equity commitments from Antofagasta Minerals S.A. for approximately US$250 million.
As part of this transaction, Antofagasta Minerals S.A. signed a 20-year power purchase supply agreement for up to 160 MW for its Los Pelambres mine.
